Its not surprising t hear this news…the number of tourists to Japan is drastically decreasing just after the earthquake.

Recently Japan tries to introduce international toursits to Japan as Welcome Japan Project.  Gradually the tourist number was about to rise up and it seemed to be a successful promotion.

However, all the aspects changed by the earthquake and probably far bigger influence was brought by the nuclear power plant accident.

If you are not familier to Japanese geography, it’s natural that you think all the Japanese land, products, foods, and people ! are contaminated by radiation.  Of course, it’s not true.  Influential area is within 30 to 50 kilometers at most and people already evacuated from the area.  Things and  foods are strictly checked if it’s touched by radiation before getting out of the area.   At least, Tokyo or western places from Tokyo is not dangerous at all now.

But the news seems to tell that ALL the Japanese things, people, foods are not good now for the people in the world.

This is not inaviatable.  Japan needs to wait more, and the Japaneses would need to keep the safer society than the one we knew before.  That could be the only solution for this damage of tourism of Japan.

19 year old RYO Ishikawa is already the top golf player in Japan.  He today announced that he would give all of his prize money of this golf season to victims of Japanese earthquake this time.  It means he would probably supply over 1 million US dollars to them as donation.

last year and 2 years ago, he made more than 1 million dollar prize money through the professional golf matching seasons.  At his age of 19, it’s a very big surprise for all the golf fans in Japan to see such a genius type player.  With more, he is very calm and gentle when he appears for interviews on media and that image of him impresses us much as a totally integrated personality.  He is indeed a top player on both by play skill and by his attitude to society.

His decision this time should be really admired and his sympathy for the victims is purely beautiful.

At the same time, we know that he makes more than 30 million US dollars by the sponsorship of his supporting companies each year.  So the prize money might not be a big deal for him.

But he says he wants to play for the victims. It’s really motivative for more prize money, he also says.  I think this comment is truth of his personality.
