MAO ASADA got silver medal at the competition of Figure Skating of Vancouver Olympic. Her way was really long.  At the previous Olympic, she could not join in the games because she was too young.  But at the time, she was already the top skater at world competition. In that sense, she was not lucky in her career.

But she proved the technique and beauty of her skating this time. She made the 3 Axeljump twice in the Free Program, and before that, she did it in the Short Program too.  Modori Ito first succeeded it in 1992 at Alvertville Olympic, after then, nobody did it in the Olympic games.

Of course she aimed the Gold medal this time, but as an unfortunate thing for her, techniques are not judged high recently. So she could not make the score higher under this judging system, which was also pointed out by the Silver medal winner, Evgeni Viktorovich Plushenko of Russia.

Anyway, she should be celecrated.  Medal color doesn’t matter mach. She tried the best tequnich this time and it was successful.

Also she is a really beautiful skater !
