Toyota announced that they will release PRIUS WAGON type car in late 2010. That’s a new plan of Toyota in Japan, and the regular retail price of Prius Wagon seems to be 2 million yen as the starting price ( UD$ 22000 – 23000 at today’s rate ).
Prius is a best seller car of Japan in 2009, but it’s sedan type only. Now Japanese family buy more wagon type spacey cars, so this new model will be a good sales for Toyota, I think.
Hybrid cars are required by times. Global warming and energy efficiencyare top priority for cunsumer’s choice these days although global warming is often said not to be the result of CO2.
Whatever the global warming reasons may be, Japan will have to change the energy system completely in the near future, without which, sustainable economy would not be realized under the oil energy working society.
If a new energy could be introduced into being, this would would be totally different and either peace or destruction will happen. Peace is ideal with the equal opportunity of energy resorce, but when destruction happens, people will fight for new energy’s concession.
Anyway, we need to keep the earth clean even if the mankind might be killed by new energy’s concession war.
