In Japan, nearly 3 months ago leading political party of Japan, Liberal Democratic Party lost it’s members and fell down from the leading party. Now the leading party is Democratic Party.
Prime Minister of Japan is Yukio Hatoyama, but some say the most powerful influence in the party is Ichiro Ozawa, the chief representative of the party. Ozawa is not a member of the cabinet, but his presence might be bigger than Yukio Hatoyama.
Today, the democratic party and Chinese communist party had a friendship meeting in Tokyo. At the meeting, Ozawa said that Japan and China will be the 21st century’s human historical relationship, and the relation of 2 countries is the most important ” 2 country relations” in the world.
This comment is a really surprising if we were still under Liberal Democratic Party’s politics. Apparently Ozawa, or new leading party emphasize Japan-China relationship.
In my opinion, we should make more friendly relation with China as Ozawa says. China will be a big power, and Japan has been and will be a big technology country. If 2 countries can go together, it would be a leading force of the world. But 2 countries history, especially in the recent history, is in trouble and misunderstanding.
Japan is now going well with the USA. One thing we don’t understand is that the USA complains of us when Japan and China get closer. Maybe the USA doesn’t like us to stay happy.
On the contrary, Japan always has been forced to do whatever the USA wanted. People say Japan can talk with Russia without hesitation, also with China without it, but when the USA comes out, Japan must keep saying YES to the master.
When we think of the 2 countries relation of the USA and Japan, Japan gained many from the relation but it was always under the supervisor, the USA. It means we might have lost many at the same time, for example, we may have lost our own will for future.
Now Japanese new leading party says we need to review the relation with the USA and 2 countries need to stand on the new stage.
Probably the Japanese begin to know how the USA treated Japan for a long time after the war. It’s not hard to guess if we watch the history of Japan being influenced or controled by the USA.
Still many people of Japan like the USA, they often like movies, music, or modern culture of America. There are pros and cons among intelligent people about the real friendship of 2 countries against such America lovers, but anyway it’s no problem mow. But we need to talk more with the other countries because the times require it.
