Outlet Mall is originally a USA born shopping place, which deals with directly sent items from factories.  People soon became fans of outlet malls in USA because of the unbelievably cheap price on famous brand items. That fashion wave soon arrived in Japan and many Japanese girls crossed the ocean for shopping at outlet malls.

When I was a magazine editor, USA shopping information was a must topic for readers. Although I don’t know well about brand items, some companies ordered me to cover outlet malls in USA.  I was really surprised at the price, mall atmosphere, people numbers, and the location.

Mall is situated really far from the city.  Makers wanted the price troubles between  regular items and factory outlet items, which decides the outlet mall location. Malls are open air atmosphere. Walking in the mall is like a concise excursion.  Mall is wide and takes time to walk through, but fine atmosphere and beautiful architectures releases us from the old concept of small department store shopping.

NASU GARDEN OUTLET is located close to NASU national park in Japan. Some ouitlet malls already started recently in Japan and many of them made good sales results.   NASU GARDEN OUTLET is no exception.  This is a very beutiful outlet mall and the atmosphere is totally like California Style, for example, it reminds me of Desert Hills Outlet in situated close to Palm Springs and LA.

Many famous brand shops and unique local shops are collected in balance. Food area is widely open and we can choose food from various menue. Also, the NASU mountain is in the back ground.

For shopping fans, checking the listed shops is the first job. If you find your target, you should go there and enjoy !  If you are just a traveler, even so, this is a really enjoyable place with shopping, sightseeing, and food tasting. 

NASU is not so far from Tokyo. You can drive from Tokyo too. If possible, 1 night stay would be favourable. Next day fantastic NASU national park is waiting for you to drive by.
