Prime Minister of Japan, Yukio Hatoyama

hato2

Prime minister Yukio Hatoyama still has high support rate by Japanese nation after 2 months since dramatic election day. He says Japan needs to face new systems of politics, especially the old style of bureaucratic must be changed to politician leading decision making system, he says.

What he says is simply natural thing.  Nation expect the politics by the leader they choose, it means the politicians must lead the country.  But after the war in Japan, this simply natural matter has never been realized.

Country’s policies were often made by bureaucratic and the politicians followed the idea of bureaucratic. This amazingly interesting policy making process was always taken by the sole leading party for more than 50 years, the Liberal Democratic Party.

Liberal democratic Party didn’t change this rude system. It’s said the reason for that was they also enjoyed the benefit with bureaucratic.  It’s also been said for a long time that Japanese politics has cozy relationship among politicians, bureaucratic, major enterprise or capitals, media, and some more influential groups in the backside of Japanese politics.

Now Prime Minister Hatoyama is thought to be changing much of the twisted system of Japanese politics, and many expect it.  The reason for his high support rate is based on this expectation.

His party, Democratic Party won great numbers in the last election. There is no other way for Japanese nation than expecting his party to act.  Otherwise the dissapointment and anger of  the Japanese will be more than the past experience.
