In Italy, ISU World Figure Skating Championships was held by 27 of March, 2010. Japanese people are really glad now because both male and female skaters got Gold medals for the first time at a comepetition.
Mao Asada won in the female one, and Daisuke Takahashi did it in the male competition. Both of them had very hard life before and after the Olympic games of Vancouver. So this is a good news both for us and for them 2 players including all the staff around them.
When I first saw Figure Skating Games was in Sapporo Olympic, so it was about 40 or more years ago. But all the nice skaters are all from Western countries. Nobody in Japn then could suppose any Japanese players could compete with them at the top level.
Time passed. Now 2 top players should be celebrated much because they didn’t give up it even after the Olympic games.
And we are very moved by their act on the ice. Thank you.
I want to say one thing from a fair aspect. I really like to watch fair sports games, but…….. Mao Asada skated very well with no mistakes in the free program and she succeeded tripple accel jumps twice, but she was lost in the free program by silver medalist who fell at the jumps and had some mistakes. Mao Asada won by the total score of 2 programs, but this free program result is not easily acceptable. To fans eyes, it should apparently be different result not only for Mao Asada but for all the other skaters who did it great.
Many of the players and fans recently often complain about the fair judgement. Apparently the judgement is intentionally complicated and beyond sports mind these days. We fans all hope open and fair sports games.
