For Japanese car companies, this year seems very tight because of lots of recall troubles especially featured in Toyota USA case. Recently Toyota’s troubles are reported as a manmade trap by American media and some testifies made by trouble testers seems to be traps too. It means they wanted to make Toyota down by terrible gossips.

This is really dirty, I need to say so.  If Japan do the same thing to American cars, it would be a politically serious problem. How can we believe fair trade in the USA?

I don’t especially support Toyota or Japanese companies, but this is truly unfair.  Also 200,000 people are working for Toyota and this means Toyota is contributing the employment of the USA.  Anyway, Toyota became big too rapidly, which made American car companies face bad sales result.  I think Toyota or Japanese companies need to be careful. It’s no good to win the race with American companies in the USA.

BUT, as a good story, Suzuki is making a good result in India for a long time. This year Suzuki finally made 1 million car sales in India and it has more than 50% market share. This is really a good news. Suzuki is breaking the time recently with some new models in Japan too.  10 or more years ago, Suzuki was a representative of second level car companies. But recently Suzuki is actually ranked one of the tops, especially among the small car market, Suzuki has a good range of models.

When Suzuki went to India for the first time, the other markets, China or Russia, were already very competitive by a lot of world famous car makers. Suzuki chose the place where they could still become NO.1.  That was India.

In India, Suzuki faced a lot of troubles because no other car makers were working well there.  Suzuki somehow overcame it to become the best car company in India.  And they got it.  What a guts.

I hope Suzuki will work well with Indian people and live together with them for the fair assessment by Indian people, media and the industry.  Not like Toyota in the USA.
