No Way ! I can’t accept this news !
This is not a news about Japan, but I need to write this protest article as a fan. I read this news on Yahoo Japan, and it says ABBEY ROAD studio is now on sale !
Abbey road studio is a holly place for fans of the Beatles, and probably it’s the most famous record jacket in the world. When I went there about 20 years ago, I was really moved by the fact that I was standing there close to the place of the magic works of the music legend.
I know EMI is in serious red running status with record sale downturn. But Abbey Road studio is one of the treasure of the music, I think. If this studio would ever be sold to others like a new power Asian company with enough money, the value of the studio will be totally different. Japanese companies, you can’t buy it ! But you don’t have money now…OK.
Abbry Road Studio is a symbol of the Rock Music that was born with the real power of young generation in 1960′s. That time of talent will never happen again. When we see the studio, it’s not simply a recording studio, but it’s one of the essential history for the poeple who were grown with the Beatles.
British Government ! You should buy it and donnate it to the National Trust !
