Of course,the USA has been the largest country for Japan in the sense of trading and influence after the war. Japanese prosperity after the war, in a sense, was realized by the relation with the USA.

But China seems to have taken place of the NO.1 trading status for Japan, according to the recent news.

This is a good news.  It’s really natural that close countries have closer relationship. We still like the USA but it wasn’t healthy that Japan and China had little relation after the war.

China deserves to be admired as a big power of the world now. And it’s our pleasure to have such good relationship with a neighbor country. Both countries’ prosperity is an ideal situation for both nation’s happiness.

When Japan goes close to China, American media sometimes write like ” Which do you Japan choose, America or China ?”  But this is not a good question for us because we like both. 

Also some media in western world sometimes write like ” If Japan and China make allience, it would be the world NO.1 allience in economy and power “.  Why is it bad ?

If a strong relationship is possible between Japan and China, it means the time of “peace of east Asia”. Its really good, isn’t it ?

Some say that western countires, especially the leading western contries, don’t like peace of Japan -China, Japan- Korea, or even China-Korea because this allience would be really powerful influence in the world.  That’s why they expect the present situation ( struggling situation about territory problems or something ) would continue, for being apart from each other. This is not believable, but some often say like this recently.

It’s true that Asian countries have always been under huge influence of western countries in politics and economy. Especially before the war, most of the countries were colonies of Western countries. Even after the war, Asian countries needed to accept the standard of western countires’ rules.  We don’t say it’s bad or good.

All we are saying is give Asia a chance.

Anyway, we like China.  Media often say Japanese don’t like China. It’s not true. There are many China fans in Japan too.  Certainly there are some troubles between China and us. But it’s all the same in any 2 country relationships. There should be some kind of discussion or dispute in any places.  We, Asian countries, should see the large part of successful future rather than seeing troubles only.

To Japanese media:

You can report anything, of course, you can report troubles. However, you must see from fair position. Don’t focus the troubles first, please let us know how it’s now successful. I don’t know about Chinese media, at least, Japanese media need to write the positive aspects too.  Writing troubles too much makes us get scared too much before knowing the friendship.  After that, please write the USA and European countries opinions.  This is our request.
