Recently the news about Japan-US relationship is not always good. That’s because of the problem of removal of American base in Okinawa island first of all, and secondly, the new leading political party wants to get closer to Asian countries rather than staying with the USA only.
Interestingly, impression of president Obama is not bad at all in Japan. Previous presidents of the USA were not always kind to Japan, they often threatened Japan when troubles happened. We know that Japan always needed to obey with the USA, it’s like a puppet for the USA.
Mayor of Hiroshima City seems to have visited president Obama. He also asked Obama to visit Hiroshima someday in the near future. Obama also said that he would like to come to Hiroshima.
As it’s known, Hiroshima is the city where the atomic bomb fell down for the first time on the earth by the USA when the war was about to end.
If president Obama could visit Hiroshima, it would be a symbolic peace event for Japan.
Around Japan, there are always some kind of troubles concerning the peace. Sometimes nuclear weapons becomes agenda for the choice of self defence in spite that we know the tragic power of the weapons.
Erasing the nuclear weapons is probably a dream, which will not be realized. Wars happen where the tragedy is not told, wars happen where the war is needed for money or for power maintenance.
