Japanese politics and media

Recently, most of the news through TV or newspapers are about Ichiro Ozawa, who is supposed to be the biggest power broker in Japan, and he is the chief of Democratic Party of Japan.

Since the new Japanese leading party, Democratic Party, took place at the last election, the special investigation team of prosecution at Tokyo district prosecutors’ office continuously kept investigating Ichiro Ozawa and Prime Minister, Yukio Hatoyama.  This is really an irregular investigation in the history of Japanese politics cases.

We, Japanese nation, often doubt if the prosecutors are doing right about it.

Also Japanese media look crazy about the recent Ozawa’s case because absolutely all the media report the same news from the same angle. Why ?

We want to know the both side opinions, but the media report the news only from the side of prosecutors.  It’s often said that the information leak is coming through the prosecutors, not from the politicians or parties.  If it is really so, media have to report from the side of politicians too.

When doubtful politicians become news on TV or papers, they are always blamed by the bad impression through media before they are judged at the court.  This is not fair.

Many of good politicians who worked for the future of Japan actually lost their status by this artificial  impression by media of Japan.

We want to see various critics’ opinions rather than one angle opinion.  Otherwise, nation can’t have enough information to judge the right and wrong.
