Today I heard a news about Taiwan’s birthrate, and it seems close to only 1 baby a couple. This rate is lower than Japan.
I believed the birthrate of Japan is the lowest among the advanced countries. But if this news is true, Taiwan is more serious.
Actually Japan and Taiwan are similar in some ways. Both are highly IT developed and media are also advanced. Maybe both people have worry in mind about their future in this bad economy and unstable international relation.
If Japanese birthrate keep on the present status, it’s said that Japan would be ZERO population in some hundred years on the statistics estimate. Maybe it will be the same in Taiwan someday.
As a coming soon problem, we will have less consuming age population and the domestic demand will be falling down drastically, which will cause the seriously lasting recession in economy.
In any advanced countries except the USA, the population is now going down in numbers. Advanced civilization is, in a way, a good thing, but it’s not always happy for human future.
