Japanese wine is not famous in the world. I must confess that we don’t choose Japanese wine often for our dinner or parties either in Japan. Maybe we Japanese believe without any proof that foreign wine is better than Japanese ones because Japanese wines have shorter history in the production and we aren’t familier to them in spite that we can taste it anytime we like.
Recetnly we hear about the Japanese wine reputation more frequently than ever. That is probably because Japanese food is becoming more popular in the world and tother with it, wines of Japan also are exported to the world.
Actually, YAMANASHI WINE is the only brand of Japanese wine people know although there are some more brands. YAMANASHI is the area situated in the middle part of Japan, and the place is surrounded by high mountains. Temperature is unique with big difference between hot time and cool time, which makes the wine taste better.
People say that Yamanashi Wine or Japanese wine is naturally good for Japanese food. I admit it is true. When we eat Sushi or some traditional Japanese food, the Japanese wine’s flavor helps to enrich the food taste.
If you visit Japan and if you find the Japanese wine in the restaurants, it’s a good choice for you to experience it. But it’s still rare even in Japan that the Yamanashi wine or Japanese wine is in the choice of the menu at restaurants in Japan.
