US -JAPAN relation is not as good as the past 50 years. It’s often said recently because of the issue of removal of Okinawa Military Base of the USA.  Japan and the USA once agreed to move it to the new place in the man-made ocean base in FUTEMMA of OKINAWA.

This agreement was made by the previous Japanese leading party, Leberal Democratic Party.  This party was formed just after the 2nd world war and stayed as the leading party of Japan for 50 years since then.

People know that this party was made by the power of the USA after Japan lost in the last war.  It means the Japan and the USA are naturally friend countries for each other for a long time.

At the same time, people of Japan know that Japan always has been threatened by the USA each time trobles between 2 countires happened.  Japan always must say YES to the USA, that was the truth of the 2 countries friendship.  Some say like this and they know that Japan has been more like a colony of the USA than an affiliated or allied country for the USA.

The new leading Patry of Japan, Democratic party, says that Japan should finish the blindman like following attitude to the USA, and Japan should say the right answers for the future of 2 countries.

I or our generation was raised by American influence in Japan.  Most of us probably still like American culture because they gave us new dreams. At the same time, we have grown, and now we know how Japan had been treated. And we know why the American troops are in Japan.

Now the problem of the American base removal in Okinawa symbolizes the change of the times.  Troubles are not good. But this trouble gives us new point of view to see the history and present situation of Japan.
