AIMI KOBAYASHI is truly a genius pianist born in Japan. She seems to be making a recording contract with EMI classic label. For her international music future, this would be a good starting.
I’ve watched her for several recent years. For the first time I saw her on YouTube, I was really amazed by the unbelievable music flavor by such a young child. Technique of her piano is very high without a doubt, but above the techniques, it’s amazing she sense the music emotion and express it with no hesitation.
AIMI KOBAYASHI was famous even when she was under 1o years old. She is 14 years old and recently she got 2nd international piano prize, Chopin Asian contest 1st prize.
Apparently she will be more focused if she keeps her sincere attitude to piano play. One thing we often see when a genius musician appears is that the player gets stressed by rude business around him or her. Music industry needs to care of her talent without such money matters. Also, genius is often isolated from outer world. Genius people can talk to themselves only when they got lost in life. I hope her healthy growth in the future. Then we can hear more sound from heavenly talent.
The video below is probably taped before she was 12 years old, not sure exact age at this time, but she already plays full emotional piano here with enough technique. Such an amazing talent sets us excited. I will wait for her 1st CD to come out in the next year.
